Jonathan Kellerman's WITH STRINGS ATTACHED is a perfect gift.
Dear Readers:
Hello and welcome to the official Faye Kellerman website. If it’s your first time, glad that you dropped by. If you’ve been here before, thanks for checking in. I update the messages from time to time so feel free to visit as many times as you wish.
It’s Friday afternoon, about two hours away from the Sabbath, and it’s raining, but I’m doing fine. My granddaughter is going to stay for the weekend – with her parents of course - visit and what could be better than that. She’s almost two and talking a blue streak although I must admit one has to know the context to understand the gist of her monologues. There are a number of words that sound the same to my untrained ear, but I’m getting good at speaking grandchild. Jonathan and I have been dubbed Nana and Grandpa.
Once again, Jonathan and I have managed to finish our novels around the same time. I hate to say it, but Jon started about three months after me. That man is a force of nature. Also, by sheer coincidence, Jesse has finished his next novel as well so there must be something in the air. My newest hardcover – Blindman’s Bluff – will be out in August and the paperback of The Mercedes Coffin will be out in July.
I do have something wonderful to report to all of you out there. My sixteen-year old daughter, Aliza, and I have co-written a young adult novel entitled Prism. Actually Aliza wrote the book, and all I had to do was edit it. It’s being published by Harpercollins Young Adult Book division and will be released at the end of June. I have a video link featuring Aliza and me if you’d like to see what we have to say about it. I’m very excited about this new project. We’re going to be touring together when the novel is released – yes mother and daughter together - so check in with the website to find out the dates. I’ll keep you posted.
Jonathan has two books coming out – one due out in the spring 09 and one in the fall of 09. Number one release is True Detectives; the story of Aaron Fox and Moe Reed – two half-brothers with big issues with one another. Fox is a private detective, Reed works for the LAPD. When a young girl goes missing, each one has a piece of the puzzle, but neither can solve it alone. They’d make a great homicide team if only they could refrain from murdering each other.
His latest creation – the book that he had just finished – is entitled Evidence and will be released in the fall. This one features Alex Delaware, Milo Sturgis and his colorful cast of characters. More on that later.
Also, if you haven’t heard, Jonathan’s forty-years of guitar collecting have finally come together in a fabulous art book entitled With Strings Attached. It is an exquisite coffee table book with gorgeous photographs and beautifully written essays by Jonathan as he describes not only the guitars but their history and how he came to acquire them. It is the perfect gift for any guitar lover and keep it in mind for Father’s day as well.
A hearty congratulations to Jesse Kellerman. His novel, The Genius – The Brutal Art in the UK – was chosen as one of the Richard and Judy book picks in the UK. Jesse was on the London Times Bestseller list for over five weeks and was featured on the Richard and Judy show. It is truly a staggering work with a puzzling homicide and a story that spans multiple generations.
Well, I think I’ve chewed your ear off. Thanks again for dropping by and keep visiting. I’ll post the updates on releases, appearances and engagements.
And once again, I couldn’t have done any of it without the fans. So thank you
